Steam Controller comes out this fall


The Steam Controller comes out in October or November! That says a source from the game industry at exhibition game Pax East. Steam Machines would be available at the end of the year and is supposed to be compatible with over 500 games that support SteamOS.

The source at PC Gamer remain anonymous , but has the confidence of the PC game medium. The Steam Controller would initially have a touch screen in the middle, but Valve removed the feature. The current design still holds the dual touchpads , where other controllers use sticks , but the touchscreen is replaced with regular buttons.


Valves Steam Controller is the final part of the plan of the American company to bring Steam Machines on the market. A Steam Machines is a compact PCs that run on Valve’s SteamOS and can be connected to TVs or monitor display. SteamOS is based on Linux and is always running in the so-called Big Picture Mode, which is specifically designed for use with TVs and controllers. Several manufacturers, including Alienware , Falcon Northwest , Gigabyte and Zotac are working on a Steam machines . Valve also comes with its own design of the Steam console. Currently  384 games are supported by SteamOS .
