‘Running with rifles’ demo released

Running with rifles‘ is a top-down sandbox shooter, with emphasis on cooperation, squad leading and being a tiny soldier in a big war. The events take place on an open world battlefield divided between two factions, each trying to capture bases from the opposite side until the enemy has been wiped out from the area. The player takes the role of a private and fights along his/her comrades controlled by AI, slowly gaining influence over fellow soldiers through rank promotions from success in battles.

Yeah, you read right the first time, I’m back from the dark dungeons of porting, presenting you the Linux demo build! The full Linux build will follow soon available in Desura, just matter of getting it authorized by Desura staff now.

Before you run into battle with your rifles, you might want to read the instructions first

Game requires that you have libopenal1, libwxgtk2.8-0, curl and nvidia-cg-toolkit packages installed on your system.

Ubuntu 32bit;
apt-get install libopenal1 libwxgtk2.8-0 curl nvidia-cg-toolkit

Ubuntu 64bit;
apt-get install libopenal1:i386 libwxgtk2.8-0:i386 curl:i386 nvidia-cg-toolkit:i386

    Which glibc does it requires ?

    try “./launch_game -script” to start the game, is sets some paths to include required libs
