‘Dota 2′ key giveaway

featured_600_224_dota

There just might be a release of ‘Dota-2‘ ahead! Based on a Linux Steam screenshot, posted by Matthew Bailey,  it shows Dota-2 as ‘available‘ in the steam library.

Although no official statement is given by Valve. We can only expect ‘Dota-2‘ to run on Linux eventually…

I’m currently heavily addicted to HoN, wanna try to exchange it for other drug ;)

  2. eho419 February 27, 2013 at 11:52 -

So far Team Fortress 2 or maybe Guns of Icarus Online? No wait Crusader Kings II! Yeah that’s it. I just love that game:)

  3. Giacomo Russo February 27, 2013 at 11:57 -

I’m really enjoying Serious Sam (and outside of Steam, Minecraft and Urban Terror).

  4. icyx February 27, 2013 at 12:24 -

Transport Tycoon (especially OpenTTD) and the classic Unreal Tournament are still my favourites :)

  5. elliot5987 February 27, 2013 at 13:06 -

  6. hi there February 27, 2013 at 13:39 -

My favourite linux game for a long time is DC:SS, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup!

  7. yossarianuk February 27, 2013 at 13:40 -

I am completely addicted to Digital paint 2.

    http://digitalpaint.org/news.php (for linux too)

At first look it seems like a standard FPS (based on modified quake2 engine) however once you get the hang of it you become almost jedi like, you can semi fly and there is an almost wipeout element to it.

In fact now when I play any PS3 game / high end game (such as TF2) they seem so slow and boring – I normally only play for about 10 mins before going back to dp2. I get about 800 fps in the game but its not just that is the way the game is played that makes it.

  8. Razvan Patruna February 27, 2013 at 14:34 -

I like to play some Unreal Tournament too.

  13. SlickMcRunFast February 27, 2013 at 17:42 -

I can finally say my favorite Linux game is Psychonauts. Just worked my way to level 101 for the first time.

Been playing CS:S Zombie/Gungame, TF2, Urban Terror, and The Cave. Still working my way through the Humble Bundles.

  17. LinuxGameConsortium February 27, 2013 at 22:23 -

Oh to limit my choices to a favourite game. Right now I would have to say Counter-Strike: Source and oddly enough, Guns of Icarus, and The Cave.

  18. killervarun February 28, 2013 at 02:05 -

I like playing UT on linux :D

  19. Arthur Nova February 28, 2013 at 02:07 -

I just finished playing Postal 2 which was hilarious, though the game I’ve spent most time playing would have to be on Minecraft (Hopefully getting The Cave soon)!

  20. id4rootgamer February 28, 2013 at 11:09 -

    Hey,

I like to play HoN :) It has a native linux client and works as fine as in windows :)

    i like urban terror

  29. lispyfoal March 2, 2013 at 09:48 -

From all Steam games i’d probably say crusader kings 2, though I dislike having to buy all those DLCs. But alltogether, just like ‘hi there’, nothing tops the fun i’ve had with Dungeon Crawl: Stone Soup. (Dwarf Fortress coming close though)

  30. Brandon Ayers March 3, 2013 at 02:26 -

Team Fortress 2 is the game I play the most often. I’ll have to add Amnesia to the list, as it’s one of the most engrosing games I’ve ever played. It gives me the creeps so much that I rarely play it…

  31. sferguson203 March 3, 2013 at 13:00 -

Within Steam the most enjoyable game so far is TF2, outwith Steam it has to be minecraft.

I am looking forward to Kentucky Route Zero when my wallet allows me to purchase it. :)

  32. ryanb March 3, 2013 at 18:46 -

FTL is by far my favorite game.

  35. AsadAlrafidain March 8, 2013 at 13:36 -

So far, the most linux game I liked is Battle for Wesnoth .I’m so impressed and surprised by the quality of this game that rivals those of non-free games (especially RPGs)
