The Khronos Group has released version 1.0 of the Vulkan – api . At the same time AMD and Nvidia beta drivers released with Vulkan support. AMD has made an open source Linux driver for Radeon graphics cards available. The new driver will ensure that the HD4000 series video cards can use the UVD engine, which hardware videos can be decoded.
