Early Christmas; ‘Grid Racing’ for Linux

The racing gameGrid Racing‘, which was released in 2014 for Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, will arrive on December 10 to OS X and Linux. There will be support for cross-platform multiplayer, allowing gamers with different platforms online to compete against each other.

Developer Feral Interactive has announced the release date on Twitter. Thanks to the Linux support Autosport Grid will also play on Steam Machines running on SteamOS. The game features different race classes, touring cars and Formula 3 to ‘street’ and ‘tuner’. In the career mode, gamers must work their way up from the lower classes to the fastest sports car. It’s not a race simulator, but the game does offer a realistic driving

On a new Web page for the Mac and Linux versions of the game the system requirements are shared. According to the studio at least an Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.6GHz, 4GB RAM and a 1GB Nvidia card from the 600 series or higher.
