OSRS Giant Dwarves Quest: What You Need to Know

Here’s what you need to know about the Giant Dwarves Quest, how to start it, and what rewards you’ll get upon completion.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that there are a lot of quests in Old School RuneScape to complete. Being an MMORPG that’s more than a decade old and still getting regular updates from its developers, players routinely band together to help each complete quests. Guides for certain quests are abundant, but oddly enough, not many people talk about the Giant Dwarf quest. This quest is one of the more unique ones out there as it is a bloodless quest that doesn’t require you to slay monsters. Furthermore, the rewards you reward upon completion don’t include any Old School RuneScape Gold (OSRS gold). So what’s to learn about the Giant Dwarf and what do you get from completing it? Know the answers to those questions and more with the help of our Giant Dwarf quest guide!

What are the Requirements?

To start the Giant Dwarf quest, you must meet all of the requirements at the onset. First of all, this quest is only available for members only. So if you’re playing the free mode of OSRS, then you’ll have to pay the monthly membership to activate the Giant Dwarf quest. Secondly, you’ll need a certain amount of points in your skills. You must have 12 Crafting, 14 Thieving, 16 Firemaking, and 33 Magic. You must be on the normal spellbook as well, or at least be able to use Spellbook Swap. Although not required, we recommend that you have 21 Agility to help with your journey as one of the missions you will need to undergo requires it to complete the quest. And did we mention that you’ll be needing Old School RuneScape Gold for this quest too?

There are also item requirements to take note of. You must have at least 10,000 OSRS gold in your pocket, any log that you can set on fire, 1 iron bar, 1 coal, 1 Redberry pie, runes that you can use to cast Telekinetic Grab, 3 cut sapphires, and ores and bars from clay and mithril. All of these items can be gathered or bought from the Grand Exchange, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding these materials.

What is the Giant Dwarf Quest All About?

The quest starts off when you speak to the Dwarven Boatman who’s located inside the mine, east of Rellekka. When you click him, he will ask you to take a trip to Keldagrim. During this time, your adventure takes a turn for a worse as the boat crashes into the giant dwarf statue. From there, you are subsequently arrested and will come face-to-face with Commander Veldaban, the leading commander of the Black Guard.

Once you’ve talked to Commander Veldaban, you’ll be tasked to replace the giant dwarf statue that your ship rammed into. You will need to talk to Blasidar, the sculptor who lives in the east of Keldagrim. For him to make the statue, you need to get him boots, clothes, and an ax that is “fit for a King”. This is where the three quests come into play: Clothes Fit for a King, Boots Fit for a King, and An Axe Fit for a King. You can complete these three sections in any order that you want. Once you’ve finished the three sections, the “King Needs a Face” and “Art by Committee” will be unlocked.

What Rewards Will I Get?

After completing all of the sections, congratulations! You’ve finally finished rebuilding the Giant Dwarf! But what rewards will you reap for completing such a long and tedious quest? As we’ve said before, you won’t be getting any OSRS gold here. Instead, you’ll be getting 2 Quest Points. By accumulating vast amounts of QP, you can use them to purchase or get access to exclusive quests. You can also join the Champions’ Guild where you can do the longest free-to-play quest in OSRS, the Dragon Slayer quest. Besides that, you’ll be rewarded with tons of experience points for Crafting, Smithing, Mining, Thieving, Magic, and Firemaking. You’ll also have the ability to use the minecart system and teleport to Keldagrim with the use of a Hazelmere’s signet ring or luck of the dwarves. Besides that, you’ll be awarded 2 Treasure Hunter keys and some music from the lands you’ve visited in Keldagrim.

So that’s basically all you need to know regarding the Giant Dwarf quest. We hope our guide has helped shed some light. Are you eager to set foot on Keldagrim to start your journey? Or would you rather put this one on the back burner since there’s still a ton of things for you to do like farm OSRS gold? Tell us all about by leaving a comment or two!
