FORCED is a brand new gladiator combat-game, based on tactical cooperative 2-4 player gameplay either locally or online (also includes full single player game).

Enslaved and forced to fight in mysterious arenas, the players must survive trial after trial, or face the consequences of their new power mongering master. The more they survive the more they learn about the dreadful purpose of the arenas. Their only ally is their mysterious mentor whose spirit is trapped in an orb. He has no empathy for the weak, yet he often holds the key to success and spiritual growth.

The financing of the project is halfway and about 10days remaining…

Steffen Kabbelgaard Grønning CEO at BetaDwarf gives answers;

  Who is Steffen, and how are you involved with FORCED

Steffen: I’m the game director, basically it’s my vision and i’m the main person to be held responsible for potential failure but hopefully also success hehe…Also i’m the CEO of BetaDwarf so I also deal with daily management etc..

  How serious is Linux support? Something we’re enjoy from game launch?

Steffen: Can’t promise for sure that our port will go as smooth as expected, but we are definitely aiming for Linux support at launch.

Will there be a ranking with multiplayer?

Steffen: We will have rankings, but there might not be PvP ladders with the launch.

Are people able to play on LAN or does it require internet access?

Steffen: People are able to play with LAN

Are gamers able to create their own world/map?

Steffen: Gamers are not able to create their own map from launch at least. We’ve only vaguely considered a map editor and it’s not planned yet.

FORCED is created by a small team, comprising of learn-hard young developers, who live together in a house near Copenhagen, Denmark. They are trying to realize their dream of creating awesome multiplayer games.  They have dedicated more than 2 years together, literally living and sleeping at a university, as well as in our shared house studio.
