‘Carmageddon: Reincarnation’ on Steam fall 2014

Developer Stainless Games has announced the PC version of ‘Carmageddon: Reincarnation‘ to be available the first quarter of 2014. Stainless Games also developed the first two games in the series Caramageddon.  The versions for Linux and OS X will follow later in 2014 and will be available through Steam.

Eurogamer: The game contains several cars, levels and game modes but the gameplay is still not finished

Several updates will add more content later. People who have donated via Kickstarter at least $15 can download the game for free, also future content will be free of charge. Once the game is complete, different dlc-packs will follow, but must be paid for.

The development of ‘Carmageddon: Reincarnation’ could be started after a successful fundraising campaign on Kickstarter mid-2012. Stainless Games took more than 600,000 euros instead of the proposed four tons. Later, an investment of $ 3.5 million resulted a version for the next-gen consoles could be developed.
