Project Cars shows off gameplay trailer.

If Valve needed a great looking, fast pace title to show off Steam OS, I think this could be it. Project Cars is a very successfully crowd funded game that raised a whopping 3.75 million euro’s ( Yes EURO’s )  and is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios. The team is quoting the phrase “Made by racers, for racers” Not only is the project crowd funded but also crowd powered. This means that funders pay for a stake in the game as an investor and will make their money back on release (WHAAAAAT!?). Yes but that is not all.

Slightly Mad Studios had these for the minimum specs as of right now.

Now, I am not normally a racing style gamer but this game makes me want to buy a one of these.

Project Cars is set to release later this year in 2014.
I am excited. Microsoft is blowing smoke at their loyal followers for first party games , Valve making a massive push to improve not only the Linux gaming market but also opening up the game industry you can go wrong. 2014 is already shaping up pretty nicely for Steam OS / Linux gaming. Game On.
